Sporting Memories Golden Games
Sporting Memories is a reminiscence project that gives people the opportunity to look back and reminisce about their favourite moments of sport through the decades as well as take part in some gentle physical activity. By tapping into people’s’ love of sport through using images of favourite stars, events and venues, conversations are started, happy and treasured memories flood back and the ensuing activities help to promote or maintain mental and physical well-being as well as tackling issue of isolation/loneliness, dementia and general mental health issues.
The Golden Games are an opportunity for older people aged 55+ to see what is on offer in their local areas, to try out new activities, find out about Sporting Memories sessions and much more.
The FREE events will include taster sessions, activities, information, refreshments and much more:
- Monday 20th May 2019, 11am-3pm – Hadleigh Pool and Leisure, Stonehouse Road, Hadleigh IP7 5BH.
