Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Special Olympics athletes inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential. Special Olympics Suffolk (SOS) is the Suffolk branch of Special Olympics Great Britain (SOGB). SOGB is the largest provider of year-round sport training and competition for all people with an intellectual disability. Special Olympics is recognised as the third member of the “Olympic Family” and is the only other organisation allowed to use the word ‘Olympic.’

Special Olympics Badminton in Suffolk, is focussed around the very successful weekly sessions held in Ipswich.
